The Dodge Viper may be a difficult beast to tame, but the Viper ACR made the model a more competent track car. Dodge pushed its track abilities and aggressiveness even further with the ACR-X, which was introduced in 2010.

Johnny Bohmer Proving Grounds recently had a unique Viper at their facility and they had the opportunity to push it to its limit. What’s unique about this specific Viper is that it’s a 2008 Viper ACR that has been modified to look and perform like a 2010 Viper ACR-X. So how did it perform?

During the sprint, the car had the chance to utilize 2.7-miles of a 3.22-mile runway that used to be where space shuttles would land. Yes, we’re talking about the Shuttle Landing Facility at the Kennedy Space Center. Check out the video above to see just how fast this mean Viper can go.
