When attendees at an automotive event have an average horsepower of 750 or higher, you know it’s going to be quite epic. And, according to a July 15 article on Revvolution.com, the June 27-28 Pikes Peak Airstrip Attack 5 event accomplished this high-horsepower stat.
The event was held at the Colorado Springs Airport on a runway where competitors were able to partake in half-roll races and trap speed competitions. More than 3,000 spectators came to the event as over 90 cars competed each day, including an AMS-tuned Nissan GT-R with 1,600 whp, a Heffner Performance twin-turbo Lamborghini Gallardo Super Trofeo with 1,500 whp and much more.
Be sure to watch the video above, uploaded to YouTube July 14, and images below to see what made the event so epic.
