In a video uploaded to YouTube July 27, Polaris Industries unveiled the all-new Slingshot motorcycle.
The Slingshot is a new three-wheeled vehicle that has the aggressive styling of a BAC Mono, but the tri-wheel setup of a Morgan 3 Wheeler. However, setting the Slingshot apart from the crowd is not only its starting price of $19,999, but its specifications.
Weighing in at only 1,743 lbs, the Slingshot is an incredibly light vehicle. Pair this light weight with a 2.4-liter DOHC engine that has an output of 173 hp and 166 lb-ft of torque, and you have a recipe for a unique and exciting drive. Not only does the Slingshot’s low clearance give you a great sense of being one with the road, the five-speed manual transmission allows the driver to have a close relationship with the vehicle’s drive.

There are two different trims available for the Polaris Slingshot: the base version and the SL model. The latter sees an upgraded windshield and wheel kit, as well as the inclusion of an infotainment center.
The base model has a starting price at the aforementioned point of $19,999, while the SL is available for $23,999. All things considered, this is a great price for a weekend or track toy, especially when compared to others in the same market.
