When it comes to the Fast and Furious franchise, records have been set, and broken, from the beginning. No one was really prepared for the pandemonium the films would create, but 10 years later, the franchise is still alive and well with another three movies already contracted. In addition, the popular franchise has added names like Charlize Theron and Scott Eastwood to it’s star-studded cast.
In an unprecedented move, the latest installment of the franchise, Fast and Furious 8 is the “first international movie to film in Cuba, according to Vin Diesel in a video uploaded to YouTube by Fast Family. It’s well known that until very recently Cuba, a communist country under the Castro regime, had closed off its boarders to all tourism and business related to the Unite States, and the filming of the movie in the country is definitely a big deal.
