Running with some of the biggest names in contemporary super- and hypercar circles, the YouTube video published June 9 by JvDSupercars shows a drag race between three of the most powerful available: a Porsche 918 Spyder, a McLaren 650S Spider and a Koenigsegg Agera R. With each boasting top-of-the-line aerodynamics, horsepower and power delivery, a drag race seems to be the perfect place to put these automotive dreams to the test.

The Porsche 918 Spyder, with a hybrid 4.6-liter V8, makes 887 horsepower. It is aided by a four-wheel-drive system and Porsche’s PDK seven-speed transmission. The McLaren 650S, pushing 641 horsepower to the rears, also employs McLaren’s dual-clutch box. The Koenigsegg Agera R is powered by a 5.0-liter twin-turbo V8 that makes a mind-boggling 1,140 horsepower, mated to a seven-speed system as well.
