A timepiece whose design reflects that of the Apollo 11 space shuttle could only be brought to life by one prestigious watch maker, Romain Jerome. The Romain Jerome Moon Orbiter takes us one step closer to intergalactic exploration. The unique shape of this watch is reflected in its dimensions; 49 mm wide, 45 mm long, and 20mm thick, while it’s rectangular stature creates an impressive display of intricacies. Hours and minutes are read from the right hand side of the face while the left hand side beautifully displays the inner workings of its Tourbillon form. Below the face one can find an interesting subdial only ranging from plus to minus which displays the 42-hour power reserve. This watch is reminiscent of something straight a Sci-Fi thriller complete with a dash of Moon Dust strategically worked into its focal point, Tourbillon dial. With five sapphire crystals fitted around face, it could easily be confused with a space craft. Don’t let its striking exterior fool you, this timepiece was constructed with an exclusive system of lugs mounted on pneumatic cylinders to ensure nothing but the utmost wearer comfort all the way down to the alligator strap. This is no conventional timepiece. Romain Jerome has taken a simple accessory and given it characteristics that are literally out of this world.
