Rolex has just unveiled one of the most anticipated watches of the year at Baselworld 2014: the 18k white gold Rolex Oyster Perpetual GMT-Master II. This watch honors the first GMT-Master bezel of 1955, which also featured the “Pepsi” red and blue bezel found on this watch.
What makes this watch truly interesting is the process by which the colors are created for the Cerachrom (a combination of the word “ceramic” and “chrom,” the ancient greek word for color) bezel. The entire bezel itself starts off red, and through a chemical process half of it is turned blue, with a clear delineation between the two colors.
A price for this watch is unavailable as of now, but we will update this post as soon as one is released.
