Roger Dubuis is blending modern watch technology with a classic mechanism in the new Excalibur Spider Unique Series. The most modern aspect of this watch is the utilization of carbon for the case, bezel and flange. Contrasting this modern technology is the use of a minute repeater mechanism.
If you take a look around the watch market, you’d be hard-pressed to find many timepieces that have both carbon and a minute repeater mechanism. What exactly is a minute repeater? This mechanism is used in the RD107 calibre and it features a chiming indicator. Most minute repeaters chime on the hours, quarter hours and minutes, with varying chimes depending on what time is being struck.
Only one example of the Roger Dubuis Excalibur Spider Unique Series is to be created, making it a true one-off timepiece. For more information, be sure to click the button below.
