125 years ago Carl F. Bucherer opened his first store in Lucerne. In order to commemorate this milestone the modern day company has created their first Tourbillon timepiece. The Manero Tourbillon Limited Edition was born from an emphasis on pure classical elegance, and it displays this elegance is every last detail. The dial is silver coated and complete with the telltale Carl F. Bucherer serif font. Encased in 18k rose gold this timepiece boasts a diameter of only 41.08 mm. Although you probably won’t want to get its hand stitched Louisiana alligator leather strap wet, it does come equipped with 30 meter of water resistance. Its lens is made of crystal clear sapphire with a non-reflective coating while the back maintains an identical sapphire crystal exhibition style window.
The Tourbillon mechanics bring in a certain sense of intricacy alone; however this watch is smattering with unique complications. The date can be read from the centrally mounted hands which point to a 31 day scale while a sub dial located at 12 o’ clock displays the time on a 24 hour scale. Perhaps the most interesting aspect are the numeral orientation changes that take place at 3 o’clock and then again and 9 o’ clock, for increased legibility. The power reserve has also been included on the face; the 70 hours of reserve time can be seen on a scale located at 9 o’ clock. Only 188 pieces of this exclusive timepiece were produced in commemoration of this important milestone.
The listing price, $98,800, is slightly lower than the average cost of these prestigious Carl F. Bucherer watches. To purchase visit http://www.carl-f-bucherer.com/en/locations/ to locate the nearest authorized Carl F. Bucherer retailer or contact them directly at email@example.com
