The Davis Islands mansion owned by baseball legend Derek Jeter and currently being rented by superstar quarterback Tom Brady hit the market this week for a whopping $29 million. The 22,000-square-foot estate home has one of the highest list prices in all of Tampa Bay history, according to CEO of Smith & Associates Real Estate, Bob Glaser. His firm is marketing the listing. A spokesperson for Smith & Associates, Sarah Lesch, said the two sports magnates “negotiated favorable terms for both of them so that the Jeters could market and list the property.”
According to the listing, the price is justified because “58 Bahama Circle is the most impressive home to ever hit the market in the Tampa Bay area.” The home is ideal for a luxury-minded buyer who has quality and security at top-of-mind. A wall around the 1.25-acre estate encompasses a home customized with limestone, hand-crafted solid hardwood, soaring ceilings, walls of glass, fountains, a pool and spa all with expansive unobstructed views of the Bay.
Local artisans crafted the home’s finishes, including solid hardwood millwork, hand-polished Venetian plaster, tailored silk draperies, marble mosaic tiles and many more fine details. The home’s ample amenities include seven bedrooms, a total of 16 bathrooms, a master retreat, custom closets, a steam shower and private balcony. There’s also a wine cellar, theater room, gym, in-law suite, au-pair wing, summer kitchen and a climate-controlled six-car garage.
The backyard and views are where this estate truly shines. The home was designed to frame picturesque bayfront views from almost every room. There’s also 9,000 square feet of covered outdoor areas, as well as a dock with two boat lifts and an 80-foot saltwater lap pool. Tropical foliage surrounds the home, creating a private and serene setting for the utmost discerning buyer.
