Typically, all things duPont REGISTRY are meant to be driven…and driven fast. However, these four exquisite models are just as rare and fabulous as a classic, luxury or exotic automobile featured in the pages of the duPont REGISTRY.
SAPOR Modelltechnik models were created in a small shop in Ingolstadt, Germany that produced extraordinary 1/8th scale models from 1992-1994. Though the engines in these models won’t propel a full-size version of these cars, they can still crank over. The steering, brakes and gearbox mechanisms are all functioning. If you plug a model into an electric power source, the lamps and horn come to life. To make these features possible, the small shop used nearly 3,000 parts to build each model.
What’s even more unusual than finding one Modelltechnik model for sale is finding four of them for sale, at one time.
Included in the lot are the 1913 Mercer 35J Raceabout, 1930 Mercedes-Benz SSK, 1904 Mercedes-Simplex Cape Top Tourer and 1929 Bentley 4 and 1/2 Liter VDP Tourer. This is possibly one of the finest opportunities to enhance the look of your library, office or mancave with mechanical and automotive brilliance.
You can either wait for the next issue of the duPont REGISTRY to find more information, or you can email the seller’s representative by email media@dupontregistry.com or by calling 1-800-233-1731 and asking for model sales.. Whether you’re interested in one or all for, don’t wait or hesitate!
