If you’ve dreamed of owning a custom 1967 Mustang Fastback that, not just you, but the entire world dreams of, then here’s your chance. MyClassicGarage (MCG) tells us that they’re having their third annual giveaway, and so far, 2014’s design will be the most exciting yet.
MCG is an online platform for automotive enthusiasts. MCG takes the best automotive web tools and combines them into one free platform. Classic enthusiasts can manage their collection, buy/sell cars and parts, research classic specs on the MCG knowledge-base, ask world-renowned experts questions, share content and stories on the forums, create a blog and connect with like-minded enthusiasts on MCG Social.
MCG gives users the opportunity to sign up and participate in creating the ultimate dream muscle car. The car itself, and the majority of the aftermarket parts installed, are voted on by you and the rest of the world, one part at a time, and assembled by Salvaggio Automotive Design. Once completed, MCG will pick one voter at random to receive the final creation.
So far it’s been decided that MCG’s 2014 giveaway vehicle will be a 1967 Mustang Fastback, dubbed #ProjectFastBack. The world then had the opportunity to vote on the body design of the Fastback, with the options of Classic Cool, Nod to Mod and Track Attack. The winner was Track Attack, which will provide the winner with a lightweight Mustang covered in carbon fiber ready to drive to the track for a heart-pounding spin, and then drive home.
The next voting session starts today for possibly one of the most exciting categories of them all: the engine. You have three different engines to choose from: classic big-block, performance or efficient engine. If you’re not an engine expert, MCG provides a helpful infographic to compare each option so you can properly customize the Mustang of your dreams.
After the engine is selected, voters will choose the suspension, exhaust, interior design, wheels, paint and much more. The only way to have a shot at owning the final build is if you sign up and vote. Follow the link below to join, and check out the videos of the last two winners receiving their new cars. MCG will post images and videos of the actual build so you can watch your dream car come together and talk about it with other enthusiasts on MCG Social.
