Presented by Formula Boats – Filling out the Formula 380 Super Sport Crossover offerings, the popular model is now available with the revolutionary new twin Mercury V12 600 horsepower Verado outboard engines! Along with the new power is a reimagined swim platform with wider side extensions and telescoping ladders off the back of each extension. This 38´ in length, 11´ 6˝ beam contender slots in nicely between the 330/350 Crossover Bowriders and the established 400/430 SSC and ASC models. The 380 SSC also offers either twin sterndrive or triple outboard power, plus the sea-carving 21° deadrise Formula FAS3Tech® stepped hull proven by its performance Super Sport lineage.
The 380 SSC continues Formula’s open-bow, full-cabin dayboat legacy without compromising full-width deck space and complete belowdecks accommodation. No other competitor in its class can offer both a full single-level deck as well as sleeping for four with a cabin galley and sink plus stand-up, enclosed head below.
A full-width hardtop with a top-to-bottom windshield and exclusive sliding bow window to port allows for an open, inviting cockpit experience, with full-width motorized glass sunroof opens to the sky, while interconnected SmartZone™ seating, from the expansive bow to triple helm seating and U-shaped lounge aft, increases choice for all.
The 430 and 400 SSC’s triple command seating has been smartly transferred to the 380, offering chiseled support and advanced ergonomics. Each seat bottom adjusts for options to stand directly on the cockpit sole, or to sit or rest on the upright seat, while two footrest heights further customize the fit. The sturdy composite dash features Raymarine Axiom+ 12 GPS widescreen color chartplotters with upgrades to dual Axiom+ 12’s or XL 16’s. The 380 SSC also features Mercury® DTS with SmartCraft VesselView™, intuitive waterproof rocker switches, and digital switching with chartplotter control and blue LED accent lighting.
The 380’s SmartZone design utilizes every square inch for uninterrupted entertainment possibilities. Two distinct lounge areas, the spacious U-shape to starboard and the portside divan, offer versatile spaces for lunch, basking in the sun or enjoying a soothing twilight cruise. The Corian-surfaced aft cockpit tables with filler cushions and dedicated storage can be raised or lowered for entertaining or sun lounging.
The outdoor kitchen to port inspires easy alfresco entertaining with an expansive Corian® countertop, fiberglass molded sink with glide-away self-cover, design-inspired Elka® faucet, stainless Isotherm pullout fridge, dedicated trash container, paper towel holder and a full bank of StarBoard® drawers to keep your cooking tools protected from the elements. The Cuisinart® blender stows safely in the port side galley pantry, and the available YETI® Tundra® 35 cooler glides out from the under-seat compartment at the helm. The available 120V Kenyon® electric grill can be perfectly positioned in the aft cockpit.
The 380 offers a seamless transition to the bow with the flush cockpit sole and Formula’s unique slide-open windshield. Expansive 330° wraparound seating boasts comfortable support for an exhilarating ride and easy conversation. Two dual-height, Corian-top tables with filler cushions make for multiple entertaining and sunning possibilities. The available waterproof stereo control with bow area subwoofer and available bow sun shade with stainless supports are welcoming features to consider.
For relaxing at the sandbar or cove, head aft to the spacious, rear-facing sun lounge with individual backrests that easily adjust fore and aft. Entertainment capabilities are extended aft, with four drink holders and a dual USB charging port at the sunpad, a waterproof stereo control at the utility locker to port and powerful JL Audio speakers over the platform. When sun protection is preferred, the available SureShade extends aft from the coupe top at the touch of a button. Further aft, the 380’s SmartZone design means easy water access off the roomy swim platform.
Through the portside helm door, three solid wood steps lead down to a fully appointed cabin with molded liner, woodgrain-finish flooring, 6´ 5˝ headroom, and spacious, opening and fixed windows. The 380 cabin provides a completely residential experience centered on the U-shaped Ultraleather® lounge with dual-height, high-gloss wood table that can accommodate friends for dinner or be lowered for sleeping. Berth legroom is easily revealed by raising the forward backrest.
The starboard side lower kitchen is beautifully presented in your choice of woodgrain finishes and rich Corian countertop selections. Clever slide-out storage boasts a hardwood divided dovetailed drawer with paper towel keeper and automatic silent closure. Spacious open and concealed cupboard space above keeps it all in place. The 32” LED/LCD HDTV with Blu-ray™ player is perfectly positioned to entertain your guests.
To port is the electronics pylon with Rockford Fosgate stereo remote control, touch air conditioning control and light switches. Digital switching offers chartplotter connectivity and light dimming control. Four cabin speakers bring pure audio clarity while blue LED accent lighting acts as a dramatic design element throughout.
The spacious head features a molded vanity with Corian countertop, molded fiberglass sink with upscale Moen® faucet, woodgrain-finish lower cabinet, and porcelain Flush and Forget® Vacuflush® head unit and shower. The aft cabin stateroom with privacy curtain features a permanent queen-size bed with memory foam mattress, so there is no need to convert the lounge for primary sleeping. The upholstered headboard with hideaway storage, pillow shams, two dual USB charging ports, available 32˝ LED/LCD HDTV with Blu-ray player and deep storage areas at the foot of the bed make this a perfect retreat.
The 380 SSC incorporates FAS3Tech multi-step hull technology and a molded structural grid to deliver the sure-footed performance that is a Formula hallmark. No other 38-foot full-cabin bowrider can boast a full-width cockpit experience with true overnight capabilities for four. The Formula Crossover fleet, now seven models strong, continues to push class expectations as it challenges others to defy compromise.
