Two pacemakers of luxury design in England, Bentley and luxury phone maker Vertu, have entered into a 5-year partnership to bring communications and what the term “smart phone” means to an entirely new level. The experience of driving a Bentley no longer has to end when you step out of the car; now you can carry their lifestyle with you throughout the day.
The Vertu for Bentley, as described by Bentley’s website, “incorporate[s] authentic Bentley design elements, jointly designed by Bentley and Vertu design teams.” The phones are priced from €12,500, which is approximately $16,000 USD with the exchange rate as of press time, according to a press release issued by Vertu. In addition to the marque’s symbol located just under the bottom of the screen, the phone is wrapped in quilted calf leather, which is in the Bentley classic shade Newmarket Tan. In addition to the exclusive options that a Vertu phone offers users, the Vertu for Bentley will include special app, which will deliver exclusive Bentley content directly to the device.
Based on the existing Signature Touch model, a subtle redesign features a sleeker phone and trim, finished in diamond knurled titanium. Only 2,000 examples will be created, and each sold includes a complimentary slip case, wired stereo headset with remote and more.
Of course, with Vertu comes access to some amazing and exclusive services that no other phone could possibly provide. Sorry, Siri, but Vertu’s Concierge program, as their website describes, “offers 24-hour worldwide assistance, recommendations and priority bookings.”
The Life program ensures that you, as a Vertu phone owner, have access to the world’s top cultural events, invitations to fashion events, VIP packages to sporting events and more.
But in today’s world, one of the most important features Vertu offers their users is the Certainty service. With Silent Circle encrypted communications services, Kaspersky anti-virus and anti-theft protection, 24/7 remote access technical support, and more, your files and phone will always remain safe.
As Vertu’s website also describes, the key features of the Signature Touch phone include sound tuned by Bang & Olufsen, a 13 mp Hasselblad camera, a high-performance Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 2.3GHz quad core processor and London Symphony Orchestra tones. The London Symphony Orchestra tones are exclusive ring and alert tones created for Vertu phones by renowned composers and performed by the London Symphony Orchestra.
Be sure to visit one of the select Vertu boutiques worldwide where these will be available for purchase, and in the mean time, to catch a glimpse of the deluxe life Bentley and Vertu offer their customers, watch the video above, uploaded to YouTube by Vertu Oct. 14.
