Archer and Stellantis (previously FCA Group) are teaming up to create the world’s first all-electric airline. Archer will be able to access Stellantis’ supply chain, advanced composites, and engineering and design experience. This will allow Archer to move more quickly towards their final goal in a much more cost-effective way. The planes Archer intends to start making by 2023, according to the company, are “high-volume, composite, electric vertical takeoff and landing (eVTOL) aircraft.” Archer’s first aircraft is set to be unveiled this year and it will be able to travel up to 60 miles at 150 mph.
