Highly successful entrepreneur Michael Fux may very well be more famous for his massive collection of modern-day supercars than for his prosperous business ventures, even though the latter certainly deserves all the credit for the former. But for anyone passionate about cars, the discrepancy isn’t the least bit hard to understand when face-to-face with Fux’s awe-inspiring automotive spread. And now, Mecum Auctions is offering 25 examples of Fux’s awe-inspiring automotive collection at their Kissimmee event, January 3-13, 2019. Below is just a select sample of the cars they’ll be auctioning off.

2016 Ferrari LaFerrari Aperta

Iconic Rosso Corsa paint coats this 2016 LaFerrari Aperta’s sleek coachwork and provides dramatic contrasting accents on the Pirelli P-Zero-shod 19-inch and 20-inch forged alloy wheels and brake calipers, the theme repeating on the exposed intake plenum and in the black leather and carbon-fiber interior. Exterior options include Argento Nürburgring racing livery trim; carbon-fiber wheel caps, outside mirrors, lower trim and rear fog lamp; black sport exhaust tips; a front lift system; and a black carbon-fiber hardtop. The LaFerrari Aperta’s charger, books, manuals, tool kit and car cover are included, along with a set of driving gloves. On the interior of this pristine example, optional amenities include telemetry and track cameras, integrated audio with navigation and red headrest embroidery. This is the ultimate open-cockpit road Ferrari of all time, offering an unparalleled driving experience and incomparable exclusivity.

2014 Ferrari LaFerrari

Considered one of most exclusive and sought-after Ferraris of the modern era, only 499 examples of the LaFerrari coupe were constructed between June 2013 and January 2016, and only for a select clientele. The example on offer—with a mere 418 miles on the odometer—was constructed in 2014 and came from the factory resplendent in custom-ordered Rosso Fuoco paint with 19/20-inch black alloy forged wheels that feature custom red pinstriping. Other custom-ordered factory options include carbon-fiber fog lamps, custom-stitched Prancing Stallions on the headrests, dashboard carbon-fiber livery, Prancing Horse emblem on the gas-filler cap, color-matched interior vents, red stitching on the seats and the carbon-fiber lower part package. An indication of the car’s unique, bespoke nature is the inclusion of the signatures of all the Ferrari technicians that constructed the car on the engine’s carbon-fiber coverplate.

2013 McLaren 12C Spider

The stablemate to collector Michael Fux’s 2012 McLaren MP4-12C, this 2013 MP4-12C Spider was likewise fully personalized for Fux, this time at a cost exceeding even that of the 2012 coupe, specifying among its $150,000 in factory options a custom-blended paint color, the eponymously named Fux Purple. The paint is just one of the myriad custom features provided by McLaren Special Operations to make this MP4-12C Spider a one-of-a-kind rendition of McLaren’s amazing supercar.  This 2013 MP4-12C has been fully customized by McLaren Special Operations. Complementing the unique Fux Purple paint are a body-colored carbon-fiber front bumper insert and matching mirror arms, seat backs and wheel inners. Of course, the engine covers, sill panels, diffuser and wheel arches are also carbon-fiber pieces. Behind the 20-inch rear and 19-inch front forged lightweight wheels are McLaren’s optional carbon-ceramic disc brakes with polished calipers. Additionally fitted with a full white leather interior with purple stitching and heated memory seats, an MSO dedication plate on the driver’s door panel, MSO F1-style front badge and MP4-12C branding on the sill panels, the car is completed with a vehicle lift system, Sport exhaust and front and rear parking sensors.

2012 McLaren 12C

If the “basic” McLaren MP4-12C can be described as sensational, this 2012 example with $125,000 in factory options and just 769 miles since new practically defies qualification. This MP4-12C’s cornucopia of optional features begins with its special-order McLaren Orange paint and matching McLaren Orange full leather interior incorporating McLaren Orange on the leather steering wheel, gear levers, air vents and cluster housing, a truly mesmerizing combination sharply offset by lightweight forged wheels in Stealth finish with Orange pinstriping. The standard cast-iron brake rotors were traded for carbon-ceramic units inside McLaren Orange calipers to complete the car’s brilliant palette. Custom carbon-fiber components are used extensively throughout, including the splitter, diffuser, engine covers, engine-bay panel, seat backs, sill panels, wheel arches, the leaf screen, engine-bay vents and deck grille. Sport exhaust, stealth pack and a Meridian surround-sound package round out the list of premium extras. Finally, in a show of enthusiasm for this fulsomely endowed MP4-C, McLaren Special Operations technicians put their personal signatures to the carbon-fiber engine surrounds.
