The 16th Annual Cars on 5th event in Naples was held on February 8th in Naples, FL on 5th Ave. South. The event is produced by the Naples Ferrari Club. What began as a modest gathering of 40 cars, raising $200 for charity, has transcended into 650 cars and $501,000 raised for St. Matthew’s House this year.
Every major marque was represented, including 150 Ferraris, 20 super and hypercars, 76 Porsche’s, 65 Corvettes, 19 Classics, 30 British, 9 Alfa Romeos, and 100 Muscle and Cruisers. Among the field of outstanding cars was a 1953 Jaguar C Type, a Glickenhaus SCR003, an Ayrton Senna Mclaren, a Mclaren P1, an F50, 3 F40s, a GTO, an Enzo, a 29 Bugatti, a Bugatti Veyron, an Aston Martin DBS Superleggera Convertible, 2 2020 Porsche Speedsters, several Ford GTs of each vintage, a 2020 Bentley Flying Spur, a 1961 Maserati 3500 GT Vignale Spyder, as well as many Platino Ferraris.
The event has grown in several ways in the past few years. A Jetport Reception was held at the Naples Airport on Thursday, February 6th. It featured great cars, artwork, jets, boats, helicopters, music, as well as great food and drink. Attended by 400 people, the inaugural event was a raving success.
Cars on 5th opened Saturday at 10:00 AM with the National Anthem, then 30,000 car enthusiasts poured in to enjoy a beautiful Naples February day of 80 degrees and sunshine. This is the biggest one-day event in Naples. The media coverage was amazing and kept the Naples Ferrari Club busy all day long. An After Show Party was held at Naples Ultimate Garages and featured the Best in Show Cars as well as wine tasting, music, and great food. This was a fitting finish to a great day of great cars for a great cause.
For 2021, the event will expand further to include a Friday curated automobile sale featuring 30 select cars. Sunday will feature a spirited rally through SW Florida. The fun begins next year on Thursday, February 4th with the Jetport Reception, and Cars on 5th on Saturday, February 6th. The Event is being branded as the Naples Automotive Experience and will include some additional features and gatherings. For information, contact the Naples Ferrari Club at email@example.com
The ‘Cars on 5th’ show is also about helping the community and giving to those in need. Donations from the attendees and individual contributions to our featured charities have raised over $2,000,000 in the past 13 years. The 2021 17th Annual Cars on 5th will benefit our featured Naples charity, St. Matthews House, which gathers contributions of food and clothing, the proceeds from which help operate food pantries and shelters to care for the homeless and hungry of our community. Structured recovery programs are also undertaken.
