The worlds of mobile technology and automotive refinement have formed a new partnership in the forms of Bentley and Vertu, according to a press release issued from the British luxury automotive manufacturer.
The two brands have announced an exclusive five-year partnership, which will see the launch of five distinctive luxury smart phones. As the release describes, “each… will encompass authentic and iconic Bentley design elements and luxury lifestyle services. ” These services will include an app specifically designed to bring the latest Bentley content to owners and enthusiasts.
Vertu is known for delivering the finest in mobile phone technologies to world leaders across industries, and recently introduced their latest design, the Vertu Signature Touch, which not only features a powerful 2.3 GHz quad-processor and 13 megapixel Hasselbad camera, but also access to exclusive concierge services. The planned launch of the line is set for this October, when the world will be introduced to the first Vertu for Bentley phone. As chairman and CEO of Bentley Motors Wolfgang Durheimer said in the press release, “Today, we see the marriage of two great brands with an international presence and quintessential British heritage and character. The unique experience of luxury and performance inherent in every Bentley has now found further expression in the world’s most desirable mobile phone.”
CEO of Vertu Massimiliano Pogliano commented in the press release, “ “Vertu is the embodiment of contemporary English luxury, combining the worlds of high technology and artisan craftsmanship. We wanted to work with an automotive partner that perfectly reflected our own positioning, and in Bentley, there is none finer.”
