Terrafugia, the developer of the Transition street-legal airplane, is breaking new ground with the TF-X: a hybrid flying car with vertical takeoff capabilities.
“This is the right time for us to begin thinking about the future of the company beyond Transition® development,” says Terrafugia CEO/CTO Carl Dietrich, “We are passionate about continuing to lead the creation of a flying cars industry and are dedicating resources to lay the foundations for our vision of personal transportation.”
The TF-X is full of amazing technology that will pave the way for future flying automobiles. Getting from point A to point B will also be made incredibly easy in more way than one with this vehicle. Its vertical takeoff and landing systems allows the driver to access areas that would be inaccessible due to the absence of a runway. Also, the TF-X is a plugin-hybrid that includes fly-by-wire controls.
Terrafugia is excited to take the TF-X from a rendering to the skies themselves. Be on the lookout for these innovative machines!
