Saleen has announced that they will be developing an all-new Mustang dubbed the ‘351’. No, it does not have 351hp, the 351 actually stands for the 351-cubic inch engine that they are using in this car. It is the first time in 13 years that Saleen is using a 351 engine in one of their cars.
So, if it doesn’t have 351hp, how powerful is this thing? 700hp and 655 lb-ft of torque. Hell yeah, this is a Saleen alright. It will have a six-speed gearbox and an upgraded high-performance clutch handling all of that power and 15-inch brake discs.
On the exterior, you’ll see carbon fiber front and side splitters, as well as a rear diffuser and ‘F1-style tail lamps’.
When will this beast be released? No clue, but as soon as we find out, we will tell you!
