The Mitsuoka Orochi is already quite unique looking, but to push the envelope even further, the Japanese car now has a special edition. Based on the anime television series Neon Genesis Evangelion, the Mitsuoka Orochi Evangelion edition is just about the most colorful car we’ve seen yet.
Aside from the wild paint finish, this Orochi is just like any other, housing a V6 engine that produces 230 hp and 241 lb-ft of torque.
Only eleven of these cars will be made, but the buying process for one is unlike any you’ve seen before. The first step to owning one of these is to travel to a 7-Eleven, in Japan, and apply for the ¥16,000,000 (Approx. $136,224 USD) car at the register. At a later date, you will receive a call confirming purchase intention and confirming the contract. A lottery will then be held and the results of the new lucky owners will be announced after Dec. 23.
The Mitsuoka Orochi Evangelion is a very unique car in more ways than one and we would love to hear your opinion in the comments below.
