Jalopnik posted an article Jan. 22 revealing the price of the AMG GT S, which they discovered after obtaining a copy of an internal email sent to Mercedes-Benz dealers from their corporate offices. Today, the New Jersey headquarters of Mercedes-Benz USA issued a press release with the same information.
“We are pleased to officially announce the base pricing for the 2016 Mercedes-AMG GT S,” reads the letter. “The AMG GT S is only the second car wholly designed by Mercedes-AMG and represents a watershed movement for AMG. Proven by its performance statistics and numerous positive reviews by the automotive press, the AMG GT S enters the sports car segment not just to participate, but to redefine it.”

So how much will the revolutionary Mercedes-AMG GT S cost you? Approximately $129,900. This includes standard features such as Nappa leather, keyless entry, a Burmester Surround Sound System and much more.
With an all-new AMG 4.0-liter V8 biturbo engine capable of producing 510 hp, the GT S is capable of reaching a top speed of 193, with a 0-60 mph launch time of just 3.7 seconds.
