Our friend John Hennessey and his team have outgrown their drag strip in Sealy, Texas. Lonestar Motorsports Park sits on 55 acres adjacent to Hennessey headquarters, and included with purchase are concession buildings, tower, staging lanes, and timing system. The all-inclusive package also includes fuel storage and enough parking to host major motorsports events.
Plans to extend the drag strip into a 1.4 mile road course are also included. Before you ask why the facility is for sale, take into consideration the speeds at which the Venom GT is capable of; It took all 15,000 feet of NASA’s Shuttle Landing runway for him to shame the Veyron at 270 mph, and he recently told us that the upcoming F5 is capable of an even higher top speed. Approaching 300 mph will require a few miles of acceleration and shut down area, so maybe we will see them at Bonneville Speed Weeks in August.
The entire facility is listed on Racing Junk for $2.7 Million, which is a great deal for an IHRA sanctioned track. If you live your life a quarter-mile at a time, this is the opportunity you have been waiting for.
