We were pretty excited today when we saw that Brabus uploaded a few telling photos of the G500 4×4 to their Facebook page earlier this morning. Finished in yellow with carbon fiber accents, the G500 4×4 is looking nice!
As we reported previously, the Brabus adds power and has a modified interior and exterior from previous models:
The twin turbo 4.0-liter V8 sits at 422 hp from the factory, but the Brabus B40 – 500 PowerXtra performance kit adds 78 hp and 74 lb-ft of torque. This plug-and-play control module raises the SUV’s total power output up to 500 hp and 523 lb-ft of torque. This power provides a 0-62 mph times of 6.9 seconds and an electronically-limited top speed of 130 mph. If you’re wondering about the limited top speed, it was set in place in order to protect the all-terrain tires.
New bodywork pieces cover the vehicle from the front to the rear. In the front are new bumper panels, a mirror-polished underride guard, hood scoop, radiator grille and headlamp surrounds, all crafted out of clear-coated carbon fiber. Brabus has also installed new lighting in the front, which is integrated into the new body pieces. The sides see new underfloor lighting for the running boards, which turn on when a door handle is pulled or when the keyless-entry remote is activated. In the rear is a new mirror-polished underride guard and bumper.
