It’s Motor Show season around the world, with automotive events happening every week in almost every country. Most recent was the Poznan Motor Show in Poland, held from April 9-12, where a flurry of new vehicles were introduced to the public.

Among them was a highly anticipated and powerful car from Polish manufacturer Arrinera: the new Hussarya 33. It’s a car designed to match both its marque and its name, with each carrying historic prestige.

As the Arrinera website describes, the manufacturer derives its name form the Basque word “arintzea,” meaning streamlined, and the Italian word “vero,” meaning truth, or truly. “Hussarya” comes from the name for Poland’s most powerful cavalry, which reigned invincibly for 125 years.

“Hussars were characterized by extraordinary agility, power and speed,” states the marque’s website, “as well as admired for their unique and elegant style.”

With a 8.2-liter V8 under the hood creating 800+ hp and 604 lb-ft, there’s no doubt that this is a vehicle capable of some intense speed and power. A chassis crafted from Kevlar and carbon fiber means it is both lightweight and sturdy, further reinforcing the name’s claim to agility.

However, the styling does seem to be reminiscent of the Ferrari 458 Italia‘s front fascia and the Lamborghini Aventador’s rear engine cover. Though certainly beautiful, the example unveiled at the show was covered in “Test Vehicle” labels.

An April 11 report on Hoonable states that the styling for the chassis comes from a design created by Lee Noble, creator of the Noble supercars, and that the Hussarya is projected to have a 0-62 mph time of 3.2 seconds with a limited top speed of 211 mph. They also state that its original 2015 release date has been pushed to 2016, and that the price is allegedly somewhere around $317,00 per car.

Be sure to take a look at the unveiling of this Polish powerhouse in the pictures below, which were uploaded to Arrinera’s Facebook page April 10 and 11. Check out their website to learn more about this car, and stay with us for more updates from the automotive world as they are released.
