At the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance 2023, Bugatti captivated the audience with a spectacular display of hypercar craftsmanship and design. This renowned collector car event in California became a stage to honor Bugatti’s innovation and the beauty of its iconic Type 57 model. Six examples of Type 57 were featured, each embodying the coachbuilding expertise that has become synonymous with Bugatti.
The highlight of the event was two of these masterpieces winning the ‘Most Elegant Closed Car’ and ‘Most Elegant Open Car’ awards. Among the mesmerizing fleet of Type 57s, a 1937 Bugatti Type 57 Franay Cabriolet stood out as a rare gem. Its unique Franay body and colorful backstory enriched the tale of luxury and elegance that Bugatti portrays. A Type 57S Corsica Open Sports, impressing expert judges, received the ‘Jules Heumann Most Elegant Open Car’ award. Its timeless black paint and cream leather showcased the meticulous craftsmanship that is Bugatti’s hallmark.
Additionally, the spotlight was on the Atalante, an extraordinary design by Jean Bugatti himself. Two of these stunning coupés were featured, with one receiving the ‘J.B & Dorothy Nethercutt Most Elegant Closed Car Award’. The event also marked the celebration of Bugatti’s modern era. The Chiron Super Sport ‘Golden Era’, a symbol of Bugatti’s limitless personalization program, took center stage at The Quail, A Motorsports Gathering.
