Many fans of the Ford F-150 Raptor were overjoyed when Ford announced that in the form of the new Ford F-150 Raptor R, a V8 engine would be returning to the bold performance pickup. While the original Raptor boasted a 5.4-liter (for a short time) or a 6.2-liter V8 engine, the Raptor R’s 5.2-liter V8 is derived from the famous Coyote V8, boasting a supercharger that gives it an incredible 700 horsepower and 640 lb/ft of torque. With its massive stature and immense performance, it’s quite an impressive truck, and the only way to make it more beastly is to turn it into a 6x6, which is exactly what the engineering specialists at Hennessey did to make the new VelociRaptoR 6x6.
Known for going big, Texas-based Hennessey added another axe to the Raptor R, making the bed 8 feet long, and giving the truck a total length of 27 feet, with a height of 7 feet and width of 7 feet thanks to enormous 20-inch wheels and 37-inch tires. The engine remains at its 700 horsepower, and all together, the incredible truck is priced at $499,999 including the original Ford F-150 Raptor R, and joins Hennessey’s 6x6 portfolio, which includes the MAMMOTH 6x6 RAM TRX, the Goliath 6x6 Chevrolet Silverado, and the V6-powered VelociRaptor 600 6x6.
