The luxury watch industry continues to see an uproar in popularity, with both renowned brands and small-batch watchmakers now cashing in on the ongoing trend happening around the world. The successful market conditions highlight the opportunity for independent watch manufacturers to stand equally aside names like Rolex, Audemars Piguet, and Patek Philippe. For the passionate horologists at F.P. Journe, its long-standing operation focuses on delivering exquisite examples using the same processes when François-Paul Journe began the company in 1999.

F.P. Journe is excited to take part in the eighth edition of the annual ‘Ball in Monaco’, an event put on by The Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation that includes an organized auction. Last year, F.P. Journe stole the show with a unique version of the F.P.Journe Chronographe Monopoussoir Rattrapante raised over $280,788.

F.P. Journe is proud to donate a piece uniqué Chronométre Optimum for this year's Ball in Monaco auction. The one-of-one Chronométre Optimum features a stunning 40mm case crafted from platinum, housing F.P. Journe’s factory Caliber 1510 movement.

The magnificent dial design presents a burgundy color and a ruthenium-plated silver dial with Chinese numerals. On the backcase, the 18K rose gold movement reveals a natural deadbeat second delineated by a seconds circle screwed onto the bridges. The funds collected will be used by the Foundation to support concrete actions in Asia for the protection of the Ocean, the main theme of this "Ball in Monaco”.
