Inspired by the solar system, Omega x Swatch unveil a collab collection.

Making its appearance as Omega’s most iconic watch within its fleet of luxury examples, the Speedmaster holds its legacy in history as the first watch to be taken on a space mission to the moon. Since its outer space debut on the wrist of U.S. Astronaut Buzz Aldrin, the Speedmaster featured countless variations and special editions that continue to grow in popularity within the watch community. Omega is proud to announce its newest collaboration release with Swatch featuring a new Speedmaster series that pulls inspiration from the planets that make up our solar system. The all-new Omega x Swatch Bioceramic Moonswatch Collection includes eleven unique models that present a 42mm case design crafted from a mix of two-thirds ceramic and one-third castor oil. The case gives off an aesthetically-pleasing matte finish to the multitude of color options available.

The traditional Speedmaster chronograph dial is reimagined by separating the spacing between each sub-dial to incorporate collaborative Omega x Swatch branding on the face. With an array of options to choose from, the collection highlights unique bezel/dial color combinations to represent the Moon, Mercury, Neptune, Saturn, Venus, Mars, Earth, Jupiter, Uranus, Sun, and Pluto. Being a reduced version of the famous luxury model, the Speedmaster Moonswatch is driven by a simple quartz movement that utilizes a battery as the main power source. Highlighting itself as a comfortable everyday option for any watch collector, each Omega x Swatch Moonswatch is fit with a matching nylon/velcro strap with a commemorative ‘Speedmaster’ logo. For those wishing to “Reach for the Planets”, a MoonSwatch is a great way to lighten up for the journey. The Omega x Swatch Speedmaster Moonswatch Collection is only available in selected Swatch stores on March 26th for $260 each.
