While many automakers have stepped up to build ventilators, many patients don't need such an intrusive apparatus. For those who can still breathe on their own, the U.K.'s National Health Service has asked for CPAP machines. Often used to help with snoring, the Continuous Positive Airway Pressure helps those who aren't affected as badly as the hardest hit. Also used to ween the recovering off of ventilation, we're glad the Mercedes F1 team is building breathing machines.

In a press release by Formula 1, the Mercedes High Performance Powertrain factory is quickly gearing up to deliver 1,000 units daily to University College London Hospital and to the National Health Service. We applaud their efforts in going from project meeting to production in 100 hours, so stay with us for all your Formula 1 updates.
