Ulysse Nardin Anchor Tourbillon Ocean Blue
Ulysse Nardin has been building marine chronometers for more than a century, and it is that marine heritage that inspired the Anchor Tourbillon Ocean Blue watch with stunning translucent blue enamel dial in a wave pattern emanating out from the large-aperture Anchor Tourbillon at 6:00. An evolution of the award-winning Ulysse Anchor Tourbillon that premiered in 2015 (and was eight years in the making), this model is powered by the UN-178 Manufacture Tourbillon movement and features a power reserve indicator on the dial in an arc above the tourbillon. Just 18 pieces of the 44mm manual-wind watch will be made in white gold and 18 in rose gold. $89,000.
Ulysse Nardin FreakLab Boutique
Made as an Ulysse Nardin boutique-exclusive, just 99 pieces of this limited edition FreakLab will be built. The watch is based on the revolutionary, yet iconic Freak collection that has been an engineering and design feat since its unveiling 15 years ago. This was the first watch to incorporate a silicium escapement (2001), a diamond escapement (2005) and a Dual Ulysse escapement the same year. This new version showcases the re-centered balance wheel, a date function and the brand’s breakthrough UlyChoc safety system of shock absorbers. It is crafted in blackened titanium and carbon fiber for stealth appeal. Powered by the Caliber UN-210 movement, the carrousel makes 1 revolution per hour. $75,000.
Ulysse Nardin Classico Monkey
Ulysse Nardin focuses on the playful spirit of the monkey in its rendition of the Year of the Monkey Classico watch. The brand’s artisans have chosen to depict the monkey in whimsical “comic strip” style – as a lively and impish figure on the dial, emerging from palm fronds. The dial, made at the brand’s Donze’ Cadrans dial workshops, is created via champlevé enamel work, wherein the cells are carved from gold with a chisel directly onto the dial and then filled with enamel with metallic oxides for shimmering effect. The COSC-certified chronometer is powered by the self-winding UN-815 movement with 42 hours of power reserve. Just 88 pieces in 18-karat rose gold will be made. $39,800.
