The words ‘updated’ and ‘Morgan’ seldom land in the same decade, let alone the same sentence.
However, Morgan has announced in a press release on their website that they will be updating the classic Plus-4 model for the 2014 Geneva Auto Show and giving it the most powerful engine a Morgan plus-4 has ever seen.
Morgan remains secretive about what the official output is, but it’s assumed the plus-4 will keep the cylinder count to four to stay true to the name.
As Morgan’s website describes, the previous Plus-4 ran with a Ford sourced 145 bhp four-cylinder mated to a Mazda six-speed transmission. The next model, the Roadster, produces 280 bhp, so we don’t expect the Plus-4 to surpass that amount.
