There are some videos on the internet that have you hooked from the very first second. For us, they typically involve cars with screaming engines. Today, we are bringing you such a video, uploaded to YouTube April 8 by nordschleife96.

In this video, from the very start and until the end, the new Mercedes-AMG GT3 race car can be seen and heard flying across the Nuburgring. What you’re hearing in the video is the M159 AMG 6.3-liter V8 engine, which was also used in the SLS AMG GT3. And, if you have ever seen or heard the SLS AMG GT3 in person, you will notice the deep and throaty tone that this V8 is known for.

What makes this car different from the road-going AMG GT S? For starters, the road-going model houses a new twin-turbo 4.0-liter V8 engine instead of the aforementioned 6.3-liter engine. Aside from the engine, the GT3 also now has a six-speed sequential transmission and new body panels for added aerodynamics and downforce, with the most notable being the large rear wing.

Check out the video above to see this new Mercedes car for yourself as it tests at the “Green Hell.”
