For the 130th anniversary of the “Inventor of the Automobile”, Mercedes introduced the limited Mercedes-AMG S 63 4MATIC Cabriolet.
The Mercedes-AMG 63 4MATIC Cabriolet “Edition 130” serves as a tribute to the 130th anniversary of automobile inventors Carl Benz and Gottlieb Daimlerr and their dedication to innovation. The distinguished vehicle makes its world debut at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit.
Specs include an exclusive high-gloss paint finish in “alubeam silver” and a red fabric top by Bordeaux. According to Tobias Moers, Chairman of the Board of Mercedes-AMG GmbH,
“The first automobiles from Carl Benz and Gottlieb Daimler were open vehicles. Mercedes-AMG honours this achievement of the founding fathers with this highly exclusive cabriolet, and demonstrates the developments the automobile has undergone in the last 130 years, developments which would have been inconceivable at that time”
Production is set at just 130 cars.
Collectors of the prized model can also expect leather upholstery in the exclusive Bengal red/black or crystal greay/black and the middle console encrusted with a badge as well as an engraving on the steering wheel. To add to the exclusivity, Mercedes will provide each customer with an AMG Indoor Car Cover—tailor-made—with “Edition 130 – 1 of 130” embroidered.
