The New Mercedes-AMG GT has the powerful AMG 4.0-liter V8 Biturbo engine, known as the M178, beating as its heart. Everything that AMG has learned from their motorsports experience has been translated into this engine for everyday use.
Power from this engine equates to 503 hp at 6,250 rpm and 479 lb-ft of torque. Special features of this engine include the added dry sump lubrication system, instead of a conventional oil pan, and the fact that the front mid-engine is lowered by 55 mm.
