For those who have wanted to enter the world of German luxury performance cars, there’s a new option available.
Mercedes-Benz has further extended the options in their entry-level lineup with the introduction of the C 450 AMG 4MATIC in a press release issued today. The second stage of the C 450 AMG range, this performance variant is available as either a saloon or estate model, each featuring the emotional expressiveness so characteristic of Mercedes-Benz’s designs.

“With the C 450 AMG we present the second sporty and emotionally expressive vehicle in our product line,” said Chairman of the Board of Management of Mercedes-AMG GmbH Tobias Moers in the release. “It combines the power of a strong twin-turbo V6 engine with a high level of emotional expressiveness, and avails itself of the technical DNA of the new C 63. The new sports models represent a convincing proposition for our customers: sports car technology and motor racing fascination become more attainable and in the process appeal to a broader customer base.”
The C 450 AMG features a 3.0-liter twin-turbo V6 capable of producing 367 hp and 383 lb-ft, which propels it from a standstill to 62 mph in 4.9 seconds. Pricing has yet to be released, but the market launch will begin sometime in mid-2015. Be sure to stay with us for more information as it is released.
