It’s always with a bit of anxiousness that we await the sound of a newly created engine, keeping our fingers crossed that it won’t be long before we can enjoy the latest mechanical symphony. Thankfully, Mercedes-AMG has introduced the soundtrack for their newest circuit-going beast, the GT3, and we couldn’t be happier about it.
In a video uploaded to YouTube March 4 and an Instagram post from today, Mercedes-AMG and Mercedes-Benz, respectively, gave us a close up look at some of the GT3’s first trips around a track, as well as a preview of the V8’s impressive sound.
Unveiled in a press release Feb. 26, the Mercedes-AMG GT3 is set to start off the 2015 racing season later this month. It features matte paintwork in designo grey magno over its aluminum chassis, which is both incredibly lightweight and rigid.
