If you ever happen to find yourself in Ft. Lauderdale in South Florida, there is one place you have to check out. Its not a club, stadium or museum, its the Swap Shop. Its a popular flea market in the Ft. Lauderdale area, and even I ventured there as a child. However, I was unaware that one of the most amazing automobile collections called this place home.
The Swap Shop is owned by Preston Henn, and has seen thriving since it opened in 1966. With all of the money he earned from the flea market, he built himself a glorious car collection. Not only is this collection entirely his, he also raced some of these cars, winning races such as the “24 Hours of Daytona” in 1983. Below are some pictures taken by Savage Land Pictures at the Swap Shop car collection. Be sure to visit his website for more amazing automotive photos (SavageLandPictures.com).
