It was only a matter of time until McLaren Special Operations released an MSO version of the 650S. Showcased in a press release issued by McLaren today, the new MSO 650S Coupe Concept is a bespoke masterpiece, and a good sign of things to come from the British automaker’s Special Operations program.
Its exterior is highlighted by a number of bespoke modifications that enhance the already exciting 650S’s exterior. The MSO 650S Concept is finished in ‘Agrigan Black,’ which is anything but a normal black finish. This metallic paint was specially developed in-house and features deep ruby red metallic flakes, giving the exterior a dramatic color change in direct sunlight.

The ruby-black exterior contrasts perfectly with the satin-finished carbon fiber accents found across the car’s body, which include the front splitter, air intakes, side blades, rear diffuser and engine bay covers. The side blades and rear diffuser are specially-made by MSO and are available for purchase separately for £5,114 (roughly $8,615 USD) and £7,245 (roughly $12,200 USD), respectively. These two pieces can also be fitted to the 12C.
A set of special satin black finished lightweight ‘650S’ alloy wheels, fitted with Pirelli P Zero Corsa tires, add even more to the car’s satin accents, which continue throughout the interior and cabin.
Inside, the MSO 650S Coupe Concept welcomes the driver and passenger with fixed-black carbon fiber racing seats, which are based on the lightweight design found in the McLaren P1. These seats are finished in carbon black leathers and offer a weight savings of 15 kg.
The McLaren MSO 650S Coupe Concept is being presented as a one-off design study and will not be available for sale. However, MSO will be monitoring reactions to the car and any potential production examples.
