Though still a relatively new manufacturer to the luxury automotive game, McLaren Automotive has been rapidly expanding around the globe, and today announced their latest market entry.
Mexico is set to be the 31st market McLaren is entering as an expansion of the overall Americas region, according to a press release from the marque issued today. McLaren Mexico City will be operated by the Herrera Group, “a 70 year veteran of the business and one of the leading automotive retail groups” in the country, according to the release.
The opening of this new location expands the total McLaren network to 18 for the Americas, and is the first new location of 2015 to be announced. It is also the first new location to be announced in just under a year; McLaren Scotland was the last retail location opened prior to today, and that opening was announced in an April 23, 2014 release.

Within two years of first opening their doors for production, McLaren Automotive had entered 25 markets with 41 retail locations, as was announced by the marque June 24, 2013. Since then, their rapid and aggressive expansion has slowed its pace some, but with the addition of McLaren Mexico City, it’s obvious that the marque is not done growing yet.
