While at the Amelia Island Festival of Speed, Dimmitt Automotive Group met Dylan, a 14-year-old automotive enthusiast with a passion for the McLaren brand.
Dimmitt invited Dylan back to their showroom after they let him take a seat in the 650S.
Soon after the event, Dylan showed up at the St. Petersburg, Florida dealership for a special meeting with a P1 and 650S. Matthew Jones, Dimmitt’s McLaren Brand Manager, let Dylan sit in the driver’s seat of a P1, where he was able to point out all of the knobs and functions of the hypercar. While this may be an easy feat for most, for Dylan, it is not.
Fourteen years ago, Dylan was born blind and premature, along with his twin brother. But this did not deter the teenager from learning the ins-and-outs of the latest models from McLaren.
Jones also allowed Dylan to start up the P1 and rev the engine. After some time with the hypercar, Jones took him out for a spin in a stunning 650S Spider.
