In an email sent today from the Maserati Marketing Team, the Italian luxury car manufacturer has announced the Alfieri Concept, a car that will fully embody “the essence of Maserati style.”
They have created an exclusive website to track the creation of the new concept, which was conceived to honor the marque’s Centenary. “Alfieri bears the name of the most prominent of the Maserati brothers, the enginerring genius that – a century ago – founded Officine Alfieri Maserati in 1914.”
You can visit the website here, and read more of the concept’s official introduction below. You can also watch the video introducing the concept, which was uploaded to YouTube today by Maserati, above, and view a video of the car’s Geneva unveiling below.[youtube id=”Fu6oRubzUqg” mode=”normal” align=”center”]
March 4 – On the occasion of our Centenary, Maserati is proud to present Alfieri, a new concept car created to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the Marque. Alfieri bears the name of the most prominent of the Maserati brothers, the engineering genius that—a century ago—founded Officine Alfieri Maserati in 1914.
Alfieri expresses the very essence of Maserati’s illustrious styling heritage. The sinuous shape and striking proportions of this 2-plus-2 coupe’ pay homage to the iconic Maserati A6 GCS from 1954. And while that original Pininfarina masterpiece has inspired today’s Maserati designers, the Alfieri is not a study in nostalgia or simply a nod to past accomplishments. Instead, the Alfieri concept expresses a thoroughly contemporary style that reconfirms our sporting heritage and gives a glimpse of the future design language of Maserati.
To pay tribute to the Alfieri, Maserati has created an exclusive website, where enthusiasts can follow the making of this unique concept vehicle. The site will be updated periodically with special content, unpublished images, behind-the-scene videos, insightful interviews and in-depth articles.
We invite you to follow the story of the Alfieri, a modern manifesto that celebrates Maserati design and craftsmanship!
