It’s official, the pricing for Lamborghini’s American Super Trofeo series has been revealed. They may be limited, but there are still spots available, and it’ll cost you. The shared seat entry cost is $17,500 per-driver while the per-car cost is $35,000 per race weekend. The very first American Super Trofeo series will be hosted alongside the American Le Mans in Lime Rock Park on Northeastern Grand Prix on July 5, 2013. This series is known for being the only one-make series for all-wheel-drive cars.
The entry prices may seem steep, however they cover everything needed for the race from the car rental and transportation costs all the way down to the tires. Drivers will also get to participate in a total of five races. Each race will include; separate practices, qualifying and racing session spread over two days, and two races 50 minutes in length, equating to around four hours of track time. Each driver will be racing the 2013-spec Gallardo LP 570-4 Super Trofeo race car. This race will provide American drivers with the unique opportunity to measure up against European as well as Asian drivers. At the end the leading contenders from all three series will be extended an invitation to a final race in Vallelunga, a city near Rome. This grand finale will take place in November.
