Swedish carmaker Koenigsegg is no stranger to mountains of horsepower and spending time as top speed record holders. But the current record holder, the Bugatti Veyron SS, currently sits on top.
According to the Wall Street Journal, Koenigsegg is poised to dethrone the Veyron SS with an all-new model that is being called the One:1.
The One:1 name isn’t without some substance. Weighing in at 1,340 kilograms (2,954 lbs) it also produces 1,340 horsepower, giving it a perfect power to weight ratio of, you guessed it, 1:1.
Set to be officially unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show on March 7, a teaser image came with the announcement only six examples will be built and all are already spoken for.
The projected top speed of the One:1 will be nudging 280mph, with its 0-60, 0-100 times, etc. all to be record breaking as well. The world will have to wait until Spring to know for sure.
