Since the Jaguar XJ220, I have been waiting for another Jaguar supercar. While Jaguar isn’t known for making incredibly fast cars, they know how to put their heads together and design some of the most beautiful cars. This was ever apparent in the design study of the Jaguar C-X75. It was a hybrid supercar that looked incredibly promising. It had the shape and feel of a supercar, something that I had been waiting for.
Unfortunately, Jaguar has decided that they will not produce the brand new supercar due to a global financial crisis.
“We feel we could make the car work, but looking at the global austerity measures in place now, it seems the wrong time to launch an £800,000 to £1 million supercar. This is backed up by other products from us that people are screaming out for.” – Global brand director, Adrian Hallmark
So another supercar of my dreams bites the dust. For shame.
RIP – Jaguar C-X75, you were so young.
