We’ve seen and loved the Jaguar F-TYPE convertible, which won the 2013 World Car Design of the Year award from World Car Awards. Now, Jaguar is bringing an F-TYPE Coupe to the table with an even more dynamic design. To our surprise, it’s a design we’ve seen before on the C-X16 Concept, an aggressively crafted cat that we never thought would see production.
“The excitement generated when we revealed the C-X16 concept was terrific; so to now be on the cusp of what I can assure you will be a drama-filled reveal event in Los Angeles for the F-TYPE Coupe is a very significant moment,” said Ian Callum, Director of Design for Jaguar in a Nov. 5 press release.
The new F-TYPE Coupe is set to be unveiled at the Nov. 19 Los Angeles VIP customer and media event. It will next show its face at the Tokyo and Los Angeles Auto Shows, both on Nov. 20. Enthusiasm from the crowd is expected and the entire design team at Jaguar is already in a static buzz.
Callum continued to say, “We’ve been overwhelmed by the positive reaction to the F-TYPE S, but for me the purity of creating a sports Coupe is a uniquely satisfying process – and I know that both visually and dynamically, F-TYPE Coupe raises the bar yet again.”
Jaguar has yet to release any details regarding performance figures, but they have announced that they will be releasing information, images and a short film upon the car’s Nov. 19 release.
