A few weeks ago we reported on the collaboration between Ford’s new GT program and Microsoft’s Forza Motorsport. Infiniti must follow Autofluence, because in a press release dated April 28th, an embedded YouTube video outlines the co-branded launch of their Vision GT concept car. Not only do we get to see the actual car for the first time, they also announced that it can be experienced on the Sony Playstation®.
The car is available as a download for Gran Turismo® 6™, which will introduce gamers to what may become a production supercar. It can be seen carving the corners of a virtual track, showcasing not only the flowing design, but also the lifelike graphics of the game.
Designed by Infiniti’s Beijing Studio, the flowing lines of the body are influenced by traditional Chinese calligraphy. Associate Design Director Kazunori Murabayashi is quoted in the video as saying the two main themes of the car are “Sensuality and Beast”. Both of these words provoke intense questions as to what a production version would be like. If its anything like what is shown in the video, we at the duPont REGISTRY and Autofluence can’t wait for an in-depth review in the near future. Stay tuned for updates on Infiniti’s concept cars.
