According to an article from Mustang6G.com on March 29, Ford’s Shelby and Boss brand manager, Jim Owens, revealed some tantalizing new details about the new Mustang GT350. In a Q&A at the Texas World Speedway, Owens confirmed that the new GT350 will generate north of 100 hp per liter in the new 5.2 flat plane crank V8. Do the math and and you’ll see that this tarmac-shredder will be delivering over 520 horsepower at an alleged 8,250 rpm redline.

In addition to these performance details, Owens also commented on the company’s decision not to call the pony a 2016 model, noting that it will be emerging in the early fourth quarter of the year as a ‘15 model for a specific reason. At the time of the info session the new GT350 appeared in Avalanche Gray for it’s first public laps with an assortment of mustangs, including an original GT350.
