duPont REGISTRY has teamed up with the Vancouver Collector Car Show & Auction to find a special series of cars that will be offered for auction at the June 21 and 22 event (Bid online here). These eight, world-class ultra-rare vehicles will be on display throughout the event and crossing the Auction block on Sunday, June 22. All cars will be sold in Canadian Dollars and information about registering to bid online for free can be found here.
This week, we are featuring a gorgeous 1954 Chevrolet Bel Air Custom that is rolling art as part of the duPont REGISTRY Series of vehicles at the event.
This ‘54 Bel Air pays homage to one of the most acclaimed 50s custom vehicles of all time: Duane Steck’s Moonglow. The current owner has spent a painstaking 12 years and more than $300K, not including all his time, to build this unreal custom car. A winner at virtually every show it has been entered in, this showcar rides and drives like a dream.
The all steel body work, with its dozens of major and minor modifications, is complemented by one of the finest paint jobs on the planet and glows against the bright blue pearl paint. The one-off custom interior and extensive attention to detail make this a very special vehicle. Put your shades on when looking under the hood, as chrome was not used sparingly. Whether the bags have it at drive height or show, this is a car to be seen in. The car includes an extensively detailed history of the restoration/customization. This is a one of a kind car for a one of a kind owner.
