Even though we are currently in a “turbo renaissance”, Ferrari has stayed clear of turbocharged engines. Since the Ferrari F40, the Italian company hasn’t placed a single turbocharger in one of their models.
So, if you want that little extra “boost” from your Ferrari, you are going to have to look at aftermarket installation. One company that is doing some incredible work with Ferrari’s 458 is Hennessey Performance.
The Texas-based tuner has put a teaser video that features their upcoming 700 hp twin turbo Ferrari 458 Spider – a 130 hp increase from the stock 458 Spider. The 458 Spider is able to accelerate from 0 to 62 mph in just under 3.4 seconds, leaving me to wonder how quickly the twin turbo version will be able to accomplish this.
